Quagmire, a 2yo son of Le Havre owned by Mr Ascot, delivered a strong front-running performance to break his maiden at Bro Park in Sweden.
After a pleasant debut in good company back in Norway, Quagmire relished the soft ground at Bro Park and fought off his closest rival by a safe length.
Quagmire is entered for next year’s Swedish Derby Series as well as the Norwegian Derby.
